Joyce E. Hurst
Director of Breast Cancer Awareness


Joyce E. Hurst has been an RN for many years.
She understands the dedication and qualities needed
to be in the Oncology field and is proud to be
the Director of 'Breast Cancer Awareness'
for the Caribbean American Breast Cancer
Organization. As Director of Breast Cancer Awareness.
her primary purpose is to provide support to the organization
by assisting with the adaptation and execution of programs
for membership support; assisting in fund-raising, educational events
and marketing activities directly related to promoting Breast Cancer
Awareness in the Caribbean community.

Ms. Hurst daily reminds her patients that
 "Early Detection SAVES Lives!".
Getting that important message to every woman and man
 is where her passion and commitment lies. Her
campaign to support and educate women and men
serves as a needed reminder of the importance
of breast health awareness .

Ms. Hurst is committed to "breaking the taboo" of
openly discussing breast cancer and dispelling the myth
that touching and examining one self is bad.
In delivering the urgent message of Breast Health Awareness
Ms. Hurst teaches the proper technique and time of month
that one should perform a Breast Self Exam.

The wife of a cancer survivor, Ms. John is no stranger
to the horrors of cancer. She is also aware that we have
to be proactive with our health and well-being. She knows
that Cancer survival is possible. Once diagnosed early,
Ms. John believes that, once diagnosed early, women and men
can survive this terrible disease.
